Dear parents & players,
Thank you to all the parents who attended the Parent’s Meeting!
For those of you who were unable to attend, we are sending a recap of the meeting.

The Highlights:
Practices

All regional teams will practice twice a week. Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday at UW Health Sports Factory. Team Practice Schedule: |

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm 13U - 13 Purple 14U - 14 Purple, 14 Black 15U - 15 Black * |
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm 15U - 15 Purple * 18U - 18 Purple |
* Please note: the 15 Purple team will practice from 5-7 pm for the first two weeks and then move to the 7-9 pm time slot after team selections are complete, no later than 2 weeks after practices begin. More information will be communicated to the members of the 15 Purple team once they are selected.
Team assignments will be completed the first 1-2 weeks of practice.

Tournaments/Game Play
We use a 5-1, 4-2 or 6-2 offensive system. Playing time will be competitive. We use USAV/AAU Club volleyball rules.

Uniforms and Optional Packages
All athletes were sized for jerseys and their shorts/spandex at tryouts. We will order jerseys and shorts/spandex and they are included with your dues.

All orders must be received by 11/18/23.
There will be no makeup order.
What should I wear to practice?
T-shirt and shorts/spandex, knee pads, gym shoes. Please do not wear t-shirts advertising other clubs or anything offensive.
What do I wear to a tournament?
You will be issued 2 jerseys and black spandex, which are included with your dues. Your coach will define which color of jersey to use at the tournament. You will need to supply and wear knee pads (any color) and gym shoes (any kind). We do not require you to purchase specific warm-ups or shoes to participate.
Shoes for Sale
We have a limited number of Wave Momentum 2 shoes in various sizes for sale. These shoes were used for sizing at tryouts. They are virtually brand new and available for purchase at practice this week for $120. See Matt Auestad if you would like to purchase a pair!

Housekeeping Items

Make every effort to attend every practice. We understand that emergencies come up. Please contact your coach and/or Director should an emergency arise and practice time will be missed.

We expect maximum effort, commitment, and respect from everyone.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for physical abuse against a coach or officiant - You will be banned from future events.

Parents, do not approach a coach before or after a tournament or practice. These times can have heightened emotions resulting in an unproductive meeting. Please wait for 24 hours before contacting the coach for a meeting.

No cell phones during practice or while reffing matches at tournaments. During tournaments, the club/team could be penalized, should a player be in violation of this rule.

Should a circumstance come up where you are unable to pay your monthly dues, contact Matt Auestad via email at mauestad@rockfordvolleyball.org to make special arrangements. Failure to notify the club director will result in sitting out on practice time and/or tournaments until the missed payment has been received.
